I like community efforts. I like the togetherness of Blender and of Open Office. Hell, I wrote Fried Green Zombies completely on OpenOffice - there's no sense in paying Microsoft a ton of cash just to put words on (digital) paper. I think art should be free.

And I always donate when artists give stuff away for free. Keeps out the nasty lawyers and managers and middle men. So even if you donate less than you would have paid for something online, the artist actually gets a larger percentage of what you donate - basically the entire donation minus whatever PayPal charges.

Yep. I'm not looking to make a ton of cash. I just had a lot of fun writing the book. And I'd like to bring you a few more that I'm already working on. Donating will make that possible!

So, give a buck or two. Give five. Give $100! Heck, the first one hundred people that donate a minimum of twenty dollars or more will get a personal thanks in my next book, and a signed copy of FGZ when it goes to print!
